     Henry J. “Hank” Oberle, Jr., 84, of the Buehler Home in Peoria, passed away at 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at home.
     Mass of Christian Burial and entombment will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria, with Monsignor William A. Watson as celebrant. There will be no visitation.
     Hank was born in Pekin on March 25, 1928, a son of Henry John and Pauline (Nau) Oberle. They preceded him in death, along with his sister, Helen Stropes. He married Doris J. Kneer on May 17, 1974 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Peoria Heights. She survives.
     He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Lou Ingolia of Morton and Pat Barbour of Niles, MI; and his brother, Paul Oberle of Murrieta, CA.
     Hank was a graduate of Pekin High School and earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois in Metallurgical Engineering. In 1985, he retired as a Metallurgical Engineer from Caterpillar’s Mossville facility, after thirty years of service.
     He was a parishioner of St. Philomena Parish in Peoria and was formerly a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Peoria Heights.
     Memorial contributions may be made in Hank’s memory to the Buehler Home in Peoria.
     Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue, in Peoria.
